Please read:
I spoke with the Caterer on 21 Dec, we have until 27 Dec, to turn in our final
numbers for the Gala. This means we have a little more time to sell tickets...Get the word out...We will be in front of church this Sunday morning.

Set up for the New Year's Eve Gala will begin at 2:00PM at the Chinese
Community Center.
All are welcomed.
We will start to break down after the party...
If necessary, we will need volunteers to come to the Chinese Community Center at
10:00 on 1 Jan 07
to complete cleanup. Again, all are welcomed.

Anyone who has a door prize, etc to donate to the party, please contact me.
I would like to get it all organized by mid next week.

We will have an officer's/New Year's Eve Gala meeting this Thursday, (21 Dec)
at 7:00. If you are involved in the party in any way, please make your best effort to be
there. This willbe our last major meeting before the party.Also, if you are donating door prizes etc. please bring them to the meeting..We need to get an accurate count.

If there is any brother interested in attending the 3rd degree at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Lakeside with me in support of Ross Bouman on 7 Jan 07, please let me know.
Ceremony will be coat and tie, registration to begin at 12:30. Activities include: Transportation to and from Viejas Casino for the ladies (departing at 1:45PM) Dinner will start at approx 5:30.
If you are a second degree and would like to make your third degree with Ross,
let me know. If you need more information, again let me know. And again, if you would like to go, let me know.

A big thanks goes out to all who participated in the Pancake Breakfast this weekend. As usual, without your help, it would not have been the success it was.
Another big thanks goes out to all who helped with Gala Ticket Sales this past weekend. We are further along, but still a ways away from where we need to be stay vigilant, and keep keep selling. Next weekend is our last weekend to sell.

Brothers,
This Thursday (7 Dec 2006) is our regularly scheduled business meeting. Since we will be celebrating a Holy Day of Obligation, I am moving the meeting to Wednesday (6 Dec 2006) at 7:30 PM. I know this is short notice and I appreciate your cooperation.
A major thanks goes out to all the brothers who assisted at the Children's Breakfast this past Saturday. Your support made it a tremendous success. Dave Akers, was superb as the big guy from the north.
Lastly, please review the minutes from our last meeting, they are attached [under the monthly minutes section of this web site]. Let's be prepared for our meeting! (Thanks Dave Timmons for scanning the minutes)
Again, let me state that Decembers business meeting will be moved to Wednesday 6
December 2006 at 7:30. We have a lot to discuss.

We have approximately 3 weeks to finish selling tickets for the New Year's Eve Gala. We should have more sold at this point.
We don't need to make a profit on this event, but we don't want to lose our shirts either. Do the council a favor, ask somebody if they are going to the party. They may say yes, were do I get tickets? If you need tickets for you or for your friends, contact Dustin Butcher or me.

This week there will be no officers meeting. It is rescheduled for next Tuesday at 7:30 PM. We have a lot to discuss regarding the New Year's Eve Gala. We will meet after CCD lets out.
Secondly, Brother Carlo would like us to participate in a remembrance mass for his son who passed away last year. So, if you could make the 11:00 service this Sunday, I know he would be appreciative. Also, there will be a little get together in the St Mary's room after mass. Food will be served. Brother Carlo has done so much for us, I think it's time we can show a little appreciation to him.

Attached is the newsletter for November, please review it as it contains a lot of information.
Also, a reminder of the Corporate Communion mass this Sunday, Nov. 5th, 8am at
Ascension. There is no reserved seating, so please arrive early so we can all sit together. Remember to wear your name badges. See you then.
And finally, a reminder of the Past Grand Knight's Dinner. We will be celebrating our 25th anniversary as a council this year at our Past Grand Knight's Dinner! The dinner will be at the Butcher Shop on 10 November. (see our September news letter for more details) Price of the tickets will be $40 each. Since this is our 25th anniversary, we would like to see as many brothers there as possible. I understand that $40 may be a little expensive. If you would like to attend, but cannot spend that much money, let me know. Where there is a will, there is a way and together, we will work it out. Looking

How many times have you been asked to participate in “another” Fund Raiser?
And you say to yourself, “How much will it cost? How much time will it take? How much work will it be?”
Have I got news for you!
Question: How much will it cost?
Answer: The price of your meal.
Question: How much time will it take?
Answer: How long does it take you to go to Islands, eat and go home?
Question: How much work will it be?
Answer: Print the attached flyer and bring it with you to the restaurant. Present it to the staff.
The only additional work that I ask is, please send the attached flyer to as many of your friends,
neighbors and co-workers as possible and convince them to attend.
Let’s make this “fun”d raiser as successful as possible.

Brothers,
Last night (21 Sep 06) we had our business meeting. One of the questions
raised was, "What can we do, to encourage you to attend our business meeting?"
The answer is simple to me, "I don't know".
That is why I am writing to you. Your input would be most helpful.
I know we have other priorities, (i.e. family and work), but I also know that
there are other issues that we may be able to work around.
Again the question is, What can we do, to encourage you to attend our business
meeting?"
